The new-born Henry Zukovski was found in a hot air balloon over Siberia. Ten years later he set off on a single-handed sailing voyage and was shipwrecked on a desert island. One month after he was found he participated in an experiment in which he was shut up for two years in a bomb shelter.
During the cold war he served in a miniature submarine in the Barents Sea, after which he was exiled to Siberia on suspicion of conspiracy. On being released after 30 years Zukovski applied for and was appointed professor at the university of Hambridge and he was then also able to study sexuality between two persons.
